Bronze wants very little from you — but the little it wants matters. A complete care guide for patinated bronze.
One of the reasons bronze has been the collector's material for thousands of years is that it requires almost nothing. What it does need, it needs done correctly.
A small amount of green (verdigris) in crevices is natural and prized. Large, powdery patches signal excess moisture. If you see heavy oxidation, wipe gently and move the piece to a drier room.
Once or twice a year, apply a thin coat of museum-grade microcrystalline wax with a soft cloth, let it dry, then buff. This protects the surface without changing its look.
The Eternal Flow bronze and the wider bronze art collection arrive ready to display — each with care notes included. Marble owners can find their own guide in Caring for Your Marble Sculptures.
